  2. Plain greek yogurt, or vanilla 1/2 cup
  3. Raw almonds, 1/4 cup
  4. Old fashioned oats, 1/2 cup
  5. Sliced bananas, about 1 medium banana, 1/2 cup
  6. 2 cups strawberries, frozen
  7. 1 teaspoon honey, (optional)


  1. First add the almond milk, yogurt, almonds, oats, banana, strawberries, and honey in a blender (if you are using one).
  2. The second step is to blend on medium speed for 30 seconds, and if you need to push the ingredients down then use the tamper. You can increase the speed to high and process until the beverage comes out smooth and creamy, for about 30 to 60 seconds.
  3. When everything else is done then taste the drink and add more honey as needed.

Additional notes

  1. You can make it dairy-free by using dairy-free yogurt (coconut, soy, oat), instead of Greek yogurt.
  2. If you are using fresh strawberries, then start by adding 1 cup of ice to the blender to create a thicker consistency.
  3. Know that the banana slices can be frozen for a thicker smoothie.
  4. Try to use ice cubes only as a last resort. As smoothies should be creamy, have a nice temper, and be thick enough to sip through a straw with slight resistance. Cooking time – 5 minutes


  1. 2 cups of ice cubes
  2. Cranberries 1/2 cup, (fresh or frozen)
  3. 2 cups of orange slices, (about 2 ripe oranges)
  4. Orange zest, (2 oranges)
  5. 1 banana
  6. Almonds 1/4 cup
  7. 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  8. Cranberry juice 3/4 cup, (unsweetened)
  9. Almond milk 1/2 cup, (unsweetened)


  1. The first step is to add all ingredients into a blender.
  2. The second step is to blend them for about 60 to 90 seconds or until the mixture is smooth.
  3. The third and final step is to add more almond milk or ice as needed to achieve thickened consistency.

Additional Notes

  1. Remember that cashew, rice, soy or dairy milk can be substituted for almond milk.
  2. Also, try to look for 100% cranberry juice that is unsweetened to avoid extra added sugar.

  1. The first step is to put the strawberries in a blender for about 15 seconds until it becomes smooth. If you have only frozen strawberries then microwave the berries in a bowl for 2 minutes before blending.
  2. Then transfer the mix to a bowl and blend it with 2 tablespoons chia seeds. The next step is to stir the beverage.
  3. Allow it to sit for 20 minutes for a slightly thickened jelly or 1 hour for a thicker jelly. Put it in your freezer if you are going to use it later. If you are one of those people who like to prepare their meal beforehand then you can take 5 days in advance to make this recipe.

Peanut Butter Smoothie

  1. After doing previous steps rinse the blender and add frozen bananas broken into smaller pieces, yogurt, peanut butter powder, milk, and ice. Blend them for 60 to 90 seconds, until it becomes smooth.
  2. Then you can add the desired amount of strawberry chia jelly and peanut butter smoothie to each glass.

Additional notes

  1. For the chia jam, you can use any berries like- blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or a mixture.
  2. You can choose to add some natural sweetener like honey, maple syrup, agave, or stevia to sweeten the chia jelly. Though, it depends on how ripe the fruit is.
  3. If you like an extra layer of vanilla then add ¼ to ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract.
  4. If you don’t have frozen bananas then that’s alright too. The smoothie will be a little less thick but it will still be tasty.
